If you're thinking of replacing your garage door springs, then you need to make sure that you even know what you are doing get a professional in to do it for you. The problem with fitting it yourself is that if you don't know how to do it, one of the springs won't be aligned quickly and hence you will have the other spring working harder. This reduces the lifespan of the spring significantly and will mean that it will break quicker. Replacing garage door springs isn't always easy and if you aren't up to the job it's much better to pay extra to someone who is.
